Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided after your procedure. Following these guidelines will help ensure the best possible results and minimize the risk of complications.
By booking an appointment with Rumy Beauty, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these policies and terms. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before your appointment
Ongoing Aftercare (Weeks 1–4)
1. Healing Ointment
• Continue using the A&D healing ointment twice a day for 4 weeks to keep the area hydrated and promote proper healing.
2. Avoid Water and Moisture
• Avoid getting the treated area wet, including during showers, for at least 7–10 days.
• When washing your face, use a washcloth or cleansing pad to carefully avoid the treated area.
• If the area gets wet, pat it dry immediately with a clean tissue—do not rub.
3. Avoid Sun Exposure
• Direct sun exposure can cause fading and color distortion.
• Avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks after the procedure.
• After healing, always apply SPF 30+ on the treated area to protect the pigment from fading.
4. No Swimming, Sauna, or Steam
• Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for 4 weeks.
• Steam and chlorine can cause premature fading and uneven healing.
5. Avoid Sweating and Exercise
• Sweating can push the pigment out of the skin and cause poor retention.
• Avoid intense workouts, hot yoga, and any activity that causes sweating for 7–10 days.
6. No Makeup or Skincare on the Treated Area
• Avoid applying makeup, lotions, oils, or skincare products (including retinol, acids, and serums) on the treated area until fully healed (approximately 4 weeks).
• Harsh ingredients can interfere with the healing process and pigment retention.
7. Do Not Pick, Scratch, or Peel
• Light scabbing or flaking is normal. Allow scabs to fall off naturally—do not pick or scratch at them.
• Picking can cause scarring, uneven pigment retention, and infection.
Healing Stages
• Days 1–3 – The area will appear darker and more intense than the final result. Redness and slight swelling are normal.
• Days 4–7 – Light scabbing or flaking may occur. The color may appear uneven as the skin heals.
• Days 7–14 – The pigment may appear faded or patchy as the skin regenerates.
• Days 14–28 – The color will begin to settle into its final tone. Any patchiness will be addressed at the touch-up session.
Touch-Up Appointment
• A touch-up appointment is recommended 6–8 weeks after the initial procedure to refine the shape, color, and pigment retention.
• Some areas may heal lighter or unevenly—this is normal and will be corrected at the touch-up.
Long-Term Care
• To prolong the life of your permanent makeup:
• Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, and acids directly on the treated area.
• Wear SPF daily to prevent fading.
• Touch-ups are recommended every 12–18 months to maintain color and shape.
Signs of Infection or Reaction
If you experience any of the following, contact Rumy Beauty or a healthcare professional immediately:
• Excessive redness, swelling, or heat beyond 48 hours
• Yellow or green discharge
• Persistent itching or rash
• Severe pain or burning sensation
By following these aftercare instructions, you’ll help ensure the best possible healing and long-lasting results. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Rumy Beauty directly.
Permanent Makeup Risks & Considerations
Permanent makeup is a form of tattooing that involves implanting pigment into the skin. While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and satisfaction, it’s important to understand the following risks and considerations:
1. Skin Sensitivity & Reactions
• Some clients may experience redness, swelling, tenderness, or minor bruising immediately after the procedure. These reactions are temporary and typically resolve within a few days.
• In rare cases, allergic reactions to pigments or numbing agents may occur. A patch test is available upon request.
2. Healing & Results Vary by Individual
• Results will differ from person to person depending on factors such as:
• Skin type (oily, dry, or combination)
• Skin color and undertones
• How the skin heals and retains pigment
• Lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, skincare routine, and medications
3. Pigment Fading & Touch-Ups
• Permanent makeup is considered semi-permanent and will fade over time.
• Touch-ups are recommended 6–8 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the shape and color.
• Annual touch-ups are advised to maintain the desired look.
4. Infection & Aftercare
• Proper aftercare is essential for optimal healing and color retention.
• Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in poor retention, uneven healing, or infection.
• Keep the treated area clean and dry, avoid direct sun exposure, and refrain from picking or scratching the area.
5. Medical Conditions & Medications
• You must disclose any medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, autoimmune disorders) or medications (e.g., blood thinners) that could affect the healing process.
• Clients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or currently undergoing chemotherapy are not eligible for permanent makeup.
